Posted: March 14, 2010 in HTTP

If you want to monitor requests made in Firefox with Fiddler, you have to configure the Firefox proxy settings first. Fiddler by default uses the proxy address of 127.0.0.1 and port 8888. In Firefox click Tools -> Options, choose the ‘Network’ tab, under ‘Connection’ choose ‘Settings’.

Tools -> Options

Firefox -> Tools -> Options

The ‘Connection Settings’ window pops up. Choose ‘Manual proxy configuration’, and set ‘HTTP Proxy:’ to ‘127.0.0.1’ and ‘Port:’ to ‘8888’.
Also check the option ‘Use this proxy server for all protocols’.
